Why this level of commitment to heart care? Heart and vascular diseases remain the number one cause of death in the islands. Every three hours, one of us in Hawaii will die from heart disease or stroke - roughly twice the number than cancer-related deaths. Our people deserve the level of care that will be provided through Straub Heart Center.
At the hub of the Heart Center is Straub Clinic & Hospital, already home to a nationally recognized heart program. Physicians from Straub clinics across the state, and physicians at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children, Kapi'olani Medical Center at Pali Momi, Wilcox Hospital and Kauai Medical Group, will work with Heart Center physicians to diagnose, plan and coordinate treatment for their patients.
Because seconds can count in the diagnosis of heart disease, physicians and their patients will benefit from the latest in technological advancements.
