Heart services at the Straub Heart Center include:
- 159 private patient rooms
- 16 ICU beds
- Six operating rooms
- Two catheterization laboratories (one biplane)
- Outpatient cardiac services
- Cardiac rehabilitation (inpatient only)
- Noninvasive cardiac services
Treatments include:
- Cardioversion
- Ablation
- Angioplasty
- Directional coronary athrectomy
- Rotoblator
- Drug eluting stents
- Aortic aneurysm repair
- Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators
- Pacemaker implants
- Coronary artery bypass surgery
- Minimally-invasive cardiac surgery
- Off-pump bypass surgery
The Heart Center at Straub Clinic & Hospital offers a full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional cardiology services, including cardiac surgery.
Prevention, risk reduction, rehabilitation and patient education programs round out our cardiac services.
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children treats newborns to adolescents, providing diagnostic services ranging from fetal echocardiography to cardiac imaging, including transesophageal echo, and cardiac MRI (for congenital and acquired heart disease:
- therapeutic catheterization (performed at Straub)
- electrophysiology (performed at Straub)
- cardiac surgery for congenital and acquired heart disease.
Pali Momi Medical Center provides nationally recognized inpatient and outpatient adult cardiology services for the West O'ahu community. Services include angioplasty/stents, PPM/ICO, cardiac imaging, cardiac catheterization, assessment programs, prevention, risk reduction and rehabilitation.
Kauai Medical Center and Wilcox Memorial Hospital have board-certified cardiologists and offer a range of noninvasive cardiovascular services. Diagnostic capabilities include noninvasive stress testing, echocardiography, pacemaker care, and transfer to Straub Clinic & Hospital for heart procedures, including surgery.
